Lockwood Theater Company's signature production, JESSE, is Northfield's original treasured musical retelling of the story of notorious train and bank robber, Jesse James — and it opens this week for seven performances!
A rollicking good time for audience and cast alike, this family-friendly show is filled with great songs and dialogue that trace Jesse's life with his beloved wife, Zee, including the famed Northfield Bank Raid.
Performed in a 19th century theater — The Grand Event Center in Northfield [map] — and acted in the style of turn-of-the-century music hall melodramas, the audience is strongly encouraged – nay, required! – to loudly cheer the heroes and hiss at the villains as the story unfolds through comedy and, of course, tragedy.
